This brochure was a student project consisting of writing a short biography on our favorite historical figure then creating a brochure spread to go along with the text. The goal was to design an interesting layout using a grid system while incorporating some sort of imagery throughout. I chose James Baldwin and took inspiration from the Harlem renaissance and jazz music. I wanted to keep the layout and imagery simple, while creating a dynamic composition.
